At Friday’s presentation at the United Arab Emirates’ COP28 Climate Summit, Governor Umaru Bago laid forth a detailed plan for a green economy.

While outlining the green economy initiative’s primary goals, Governor Bago stressed the state’s dedication to ecological preservation, carbon sink asset management, sustainable resource management, renewable energy development, diversity and inclusion, and green jobs created by the private sector.

By announcing plans to plant one billion trees for the purpose of sequestering carbon credits, the governor demonstrated the state’s dedication to sustainability in the long run.

In the next four to five years, the program would encompass 760,000 hectares of land, according to him.

The governor of the state, Bago, has announced his intention to build one hundred of these estates around the state. These estates will be used for water management, crop cultivation, job creation, and wealth generation.
