Terry Venables, former manager of England, has passed away at the age of 80.
On Sunday, his family released a statement confirming his death.
A beautiful husband and father of four went away quietly yesterday after a long illness, and his family and I are inconsolable.
“We would ask that privacy be given at this incredibly sad time to allow us to mourn the loss of this lovely man who we were so lucky to have had in our lives,” it said.
Between 1994 and 1996, Venables managed the Three Lions.
