The Benue State House of Assembly unanimously voted to support Governor Hyacinth Alia on Friday, despite the turmoil engulfing the state’s APC party.

While presenting the 2024 budget to the plenary, Simon Gabo, who represents the Mata state constituency, voiced his satisfaction with the governor’s exceptional performance.

He urged his colleagues to vote for the governor’s confidence and made a motion to do so.

.

In a statement that went beyond what anyone could have imagined, Gabo praised Alia’s extraordinary work in the past six months.

Because to his record of on-time salary and pension payments and massive infrastructure projects completed without taking on any debt, the governor of Benue has earned the nickname “Mr. 25th” from the people of the state.

“I would like to propose that a vote of confidence be granted to Governor Alia of Benue State based on the substantial developmental progress that his administration has achieved,” he stated.

Peter Ipusu, who represents the Katsina-Ala state constituency and who also seconded the motion, paid tribute to the governor for his dedication to improving life in Benue.

.

Ipusu went on to praise Aondona Dajoh, the Speaker of the House, for her effective leadership.

The vote of confidence was voted on Governor Alia by Speaker Dajoh without a single dissenting opinion.
