Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has extended his condolences to the family of Taiwo Oyekanmi, who was assassinated on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the capital of the state, by a daredevil robbery group. Oyekanmi had been the Director of Finance to the Governor’s office.
This was included in a statement that was signed by Lekan Adeniran, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
According to the HEALTHYSPOT101, the accountant who tragically lost his life was en route from two commercial banks to the governor’s office in a bullion van carrying a substantial sum of money.
The governor, Abiodun, expressed his shock at the tragedy and asked the public to pray for the victim’s loved ones.
“It is truly a tremendous tragedy for our administration to have lost such a committed, honest, and hardworking official. His killers have ruined our sleep and will be apprehended without delay,” he declared.
Along with his promise to investigate thoroughly, the governor made the following statement: “I have directed all security agencies in the State to smoke the criminals out instantly and make them face the full wrath of the law.”
