We will not stand by if corruption ruins Nigeria – EFCC
.

The EFCC has reaffirmed its determination to prevent corruption from further eroding Nigeria’s social and economic fabric.

Consequently, it urged the populace to stand together in the face of corruption and its many faces in order to eradicate it from the nation.

At a road walk in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, to commemorate the 2023 International Anti-Corruption Day, which has the theme “UNCAC @20: Uniting the World Against Corruption,” ACE-1 Bawa Hamidu Saidu, the Zonal Commander of the EFCC, said that the people must stand together, increase transparency, and fortify institutions if corruption is to be vanquished.

.

He argues that in order to combat corruption, people must unite, increase openness, and fortify their institutions. We must not stand by and watch while corruption rips this nation apart. In the face of corruption, we stand united as a nation. Together, we can eradicate corruption! And standing together, we claim our due.

The zonal commander also stated that the zone would act independently as part of the World Against Corruption, ensuring that corrupt individuals are held accountable regardless of their socioeconomic status.

It doesn’t matter which way we turn in modern Nigeria; corruption follows us everywhere. It hits the most disadvantaged members of society the hardest and ruins our progress toward environmental sustainability.

We will not hesitate to expose corrupt individuals or organizations, regardless of their status, regardless of whose ox is eating. The fight against corruption must be a group effort, and we must all commit to doing our bit without bias or blind allegiance to any one group or ideology. “Envision a world where corruption is truly eradicated,” Saidu proclaimed.
