According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino canceled a planned two-day break for his team after their 4-1 loss against Newcastle.
Pochettino was banned from the sidelines and had to watch the game from the stands.
Raheem Sterling responded to the Blues’ initial goal by Alexander Isak.
Reece James, the team’s captain, was issued a record card, and Thiago Silva was at fault for what Pochettino called Newcastle’s “easy win” after the interval.
“These games make me very, very, very angry,” Pochettino remarked.
We need to demonstrate our individuality and credibility. This is not football, and we cannot play it.
To paraphrase, “Newcastle were not great, but got an easy win.”
