Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery has taken some time to reflect on his tenure at Aston Villa.

After Arsene Wenger’s departure, Emery took over as manager of the Gunners at the Emirates.

But in November 2019, after 18 months, he was fired and Mikel Arteta took his place.

On Saturday, Villa Park will host the Premier League match between Emery and Arteta.

Emery told reporters on Friday that his experience at Arsenal was crucial, but that he also had experience at other teams and in other countries.

I made an effort to learn from the coaches and players I had. The most important thing to me right now, right now, and in the future are the experiences I have had [at Arsenal and other clubs throughout Europe].
