No less than 357 junior officers promoted by Nigeria Customs

A total of 357 officers have been promoted from the position of Customs Assistant 1 to Inspector of Customs by the Nigeria Customs Service.

The National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Customs, Abdullahi Maiwada, made the announcement in a statement released on Saturday.

He claims that Bashir Adeniyi, the country’s comptroller general of customs, approved the elevation on December 1st, 2023, during the seventh management meeting of that year.

The head of customs had previously issued a stern warning to the newly promoted officials, urging them to redouble their efforts to generate income for the service.

The detailed roster of promotions includes both the General Duty and other positions, as stated in the following:

workers who did exceptionally well in the promotion process in 2023 and those who work in support services (SS).

Here is a breakdown of the officers who have been promoted: 246 from AIC to IC, 37 from AIC to IC, 39 from CA I to AIC, 27 from CA I to AIC, 7 from CA II to CA I, and 1 from CA III to CA II.
