After Fulham’s resounding victory over Nottingham Forest, manager Marco Silva was effusive in his praise of Calvin Bassey.
On Wednesday night, the Nigerian international was used as a left defender in a 5-0 drubbing of Steve Cooper’s squad at Vicarage Road.
After his performance in the game, Bassey was praised by many.
The defender’s ability to adjust to his new role was lauded by Silva.
After the game, the coach remarked, “It was great to see Bassett perform as well” as he played on the left flank, Tim’s typical position.
The 23-year-old’s Fulham teammates, including international striker Alex Iwobi, scored twice in the match.
In the summer, Fulham acquired Bassey from Eredivisie club Ajax.
