Robbie Savage, a former star for Manchester United, thinks that if Arsenal want to win the Premier League this season, they need to acquire one of these players: Ivan Toney of Brentford, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, or Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
Following Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Brentford, Arsenal is now atop the Premier League standings.
Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s team’s Premier League rivals from the previous season, are in second position, one point behind.
Savage spoke to TeamTalk about Arsenal’s January striker transfer window:
Arsenal already have two excellent central forwards in Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, but I believe they would be far better served by adding a new striker to their lineup, ideally one who can score 20–25 goals per season.
Toney of Brentford, Vlahovic of Juventus, and Osimhen of Napoli are all Premier League players you may see.
“Arsenal needs to be looking at the three of them and saying, ‘Do you know what? If we add one of those to our team, they can add another 20 goals-plus to our side over a season.'” he concluded. It might be the deciding factor.
