The recruitment process for teachers in Anambra State, Nigeria, will begin in 2023, and the state government has already started administering CBTs.

The state government had last year hired 5,000 instructors into public schools in the state, before announcing additional recruitment of 3,000 more, this year.

The Anambra State ICT Agency, led by Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, is assisting with the testing.

.

According to an Agency press release signed by Agbata, the test has been proceeding smoothly since it began on Thursday.

As the government agency tasked with realizing Mr. Governor’s vision of “Everything Technology and Technology Everywhere,” we are providing technical support for the initiative.

There is no limit to the benefits that would accrue to the people of Anambra if we create an environment conducive to the comprehensive investigation of technology.

That is Mr. Governor’s goal, and we are working hard to make it a reality.

Before entering the CBT venue for the 30-minute exam, applicants’ national identity cards and examination slips are checked by the ICT Agency’s technical staff.

The ASUBEB Chairman, Dr. Vera Nkiru Nwadinobi, was quoted in the announcement as saying that over 19,500 applications were received through the application portal and that the applicants would be tested in batches.

She explained that the CBT exam was implemented as part of the governor’s plan to prepare educators to lead the state’s transition to fully digital classrooms and institutions.

“There is no way we can have smart schools when the teachers are not ICT compliant,” the author writes. “hence the need to conduct the computer-based tests.”
