Gov. Uba Sani expresses condolences to victims of the Tudun Biri bombing

The citizens of Tudun Biri, a town that was accidentally attacked by a drone when the military was hunting down criminals in the area at night, have the sympathy of Governor Uba Sani.

Prompt medical assistance was provided to the injured after officials were despatched to Tudun Biri village to examine the situation, according to Governor Sani. The victims were later flown to Barau Dikko Hospital in Kaduna.

On Thursday, the governor hosted Vice President Kashim Shettima and his delegation, which included Minister of Defense Mohammed Badaru and APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje. During the meeting, the governor thanked the VP for offering aid to the impacted community.

A high-powered delegation from the Federal Government came to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House to express condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate loss of lives in Tudun Biri village due to the military drone attack. The Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, was received in audience by the Governor today.

He went on to say that the vice president has assured everyone that the federal government has launched a thorough inquiry into the terrible event and that a report will be out soon.

As a first recipient of the PULAKU Initiative for Internally Displaced Persons, the village of Tudun Biri was thanked by the Governor for their swift response to the call for a thorough investigation into the tragedy and compensation for the victims’ families. The Governor also expressed gratitude to Mr. President for dispatching a high-powered delegation to express condolences to the state’s government and people.
