After a recent dispute with manager Erik ten Hag, former Tottenham Hotspur player Darren Bent claims that Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho wants to leave Old Trafford.
A public argument between Sancho and Ten Hag just before the international break caused a rift in their friendship.
After Ten Hag said Sancho’s training wasn’t good enough, Sancho responded publicly before Man United’s game against Arsenal last weekend.
But Bent thinks Sancho has had ‘enough is enough’ at Manchester United and wants to leave after he publicly criticized Ten Hag.”If he had the intention of staying at Manchester United, of wanting to stay at the club, or had a burning desire to stay, you do it in-house,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“You go into the manager’s office and say, ‘hey, I don’t really like what you did there. Please let me know if I need to improve my training methods.
I’m sure he’s told him this story before, and now we just have to figure out how to deal with it.
But the fact that he went public with it tells me that he wants to leave. He can’t take it any longer.
“Maybe the challenge is too much for him, which is a shame because he’s got a lot of skill, he’s got talent. Perhaps he isn’t swift enough for the Premier League.
Man United paid £73 million to get Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
