Bayo Adelabu, Nigeria’s Minister of Power, has stated that he is not losing sight of his goal of providing constant power to the country.

This was announced by the Minister at the inaugural Annual Socio-Economic Summit hosted by Jericho Business Club in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Adelabu claims that the electricity sector concerns were addressed by governments prior to Tinubu’s.

.

He pointed out that the policies of those governments were futile because of the procedures and plans they had put in place.

“The plan to give Nigerians access to energy around the clock has not changed and is still on track. Our people have been through so much because of the lack of access to affordable energy,” he remarked.

According to the Minister, it is his responsibility to make sure the country has a reliable and efficient electrical supply.

But he did concede that there are a lot of issues in the power industry.

.

He noted further that the power-generating industry has its own challenges, paired with those of the distribution corporations and consumers.

He elaborated, saying, “What we have done is identify these challenges and map strategies for lasting and workable solutions.”
