According to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe conducted air attacks in Rivers, Nigeria, and successfully destroyed numerous illicit refining plants while also interrupting oil theft activities.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in Abuja by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

According to Gabkwet, airstrikes targeting South-South economic saboteurs and oil thieves have continued without a hitch.

In addition, he mentioned that on Tuesday, two boats belonging to the Cotonou clan were spotted near Okrika in Arugbana. On the other hand, in the Rivers, near Bonny Island, there is a busy Illegal Refining Site (IRS) with reservoirs filled with illicit materials and equipment.

There was a storage tank and reservoirs at the site that were thought to hold refined goods that had been illegally imported. An active IRS was also discovered there.

He vowed that the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe will keep doing what it’s supposed to do until the saboteurs’ actions are either totally stopped or drastically curtailed.
